Casey Key is an 8 mile long barrier island just a few miles south of Sarasota. Nestled between Little Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, this narrow strip of land showcases some of the most prestigious homes on the Florida Southwest Gulf Coast.
Because Casey Key is limited almost exclusively to single family homes, there are not "subdivisions" or rampant condo complexes like most other areas. The Key is very narrow, only 300 yards across in some areas. The beaches on Casey Key are private and display unspoiled beauty. Most properties have views of the Bay to the East, and of the Gulf to the West - making homes literally surrounded by water. Single family residences on Casey Key range from $900,000 for a traditional, older home to $20 million for a newer waterfront mansion.
Casey Key doesn't have many amenities, which is in large part its charm. A short drive off island will take you to Nokomis, located between all Sarasota and Venice shops and restaurants.
